Cookie Policy

Last updated: 01/06/2026

This Cookie Policy describes how VENTURLEY LIMITED (“we”, “us”, “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies to recognise you when you visit our website at https://venturleyltd.com (the “Website”). It sets out what these technologies are, why we use them, and how you can control our use of them. Read it together with our Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions.

Scope

This Cookie Policy covers every web property and subdomain we operate and the services we provide to users worldwide. Where we rely on third-party sub-processors or services (for example analytics, advertising networks, payment or security providers), those services may set cookies of their own; we describe such third-party cookies below.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small data files placed on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. Site owners use them widely to make their sites work, or work better, and to provide reporting information. For this Policy, “cookies and similar technologies” covers cookies, web beacons, pixels, local storage and other identifiers.

Legal basis under UK law (UK GDPR & PECR)

For people in the United Kingdom (and elsewhere where relevant), our legal bases for cookie processing are set under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR). For non-essential cookies that are not strictly necessary, we rely on your explicit consent under the UK GDPR (Article 6(1)(a)) and PECR (which requires consent for non-essential cookies).

For strictly necessary cookies we may rely on our legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR), but only so far as needed to run the Website; for analytics and advertising cookies that are not strictly necessary, we obtain explicit opt-in consent.

2. Why do we use cookies?

We use both first-party and third-party cookies for several reasons. Some are needed for technical reasons so the Website can operate, and we call these “essential” or “strictly necessary” cookies. Others let us track and respond to our users' interests to improve the experience on our online properties. Third parties also serve cookies through our Website for advertising, analytics and other purposes.

3. Types of cookies we use

In line with the categories of data we collect (defined in Section 5 of our Privacy Policy), we use the following:

3.1. Strictly Necessary Cookies — essential to provide the services available through our Website and to use some of its features, such as access to secure areas. Because they are strictly necessary to deliver the Website, you cannot refuse them without affecting how the Website works (for example keeping your shopping cart during checkout).

3.2. Performance and Analytics Cookies — these gather information used in aggregate to help us see how the Website is used (Usage Data) or how well our marketing campaigns perform, or to help us tailor the Website to you.

3.3. Functional Cookies — these improve the Website's performance and functionality but are not essential to its use. Without them, certain features (such as videos or chat support) may be unavailable.

3.4. Targeting and Advertising Cookies — these make advertising more relevant to you. They do things such as stopping the same advert from reappearing endlessly, making sure adverts display correctly for advertisers, and in some cases choosing adverts based on your interests.

4. Third-Party Cookies on our Website

As our Privacy Policy notes, we use third-party services for payment processing (for example to issue refunds under our Refund and Return Policy) and for security. These third parties may set cookies in your browser to:

  • detect fraud and strengthen security;
  • process payments efficiently;
  • analyse Website performance.

We also use third-party analytics and advertising providers (for example Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta/Facebook and advertising networks). They may set cookies on your device and collect information about what you do over time and across different websites. We do not control whether these cookies are set — please check the relevant third party's own policies for details and for opt-out options.

Where third parties transfer personal data outside the UK/EEA, we require suitable safeguards (for example reliance on an adequacy decision, Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs), or Binding Corporate Rules where relevant). Contact us if you would like more detail on those transfers and safeguards.

5. How we obtain and record consent

We obtain consent for non-essential cookies through a clear cookie banner (consent manager) shown on your first visit, which: (a) explains the categories of cookies; (b) lets you “Accept all”, “Reject non-essential” or “Manage preferences” with granular, per-category controls; and (c) links to this Cookie Policy.

We log the choice you make, the date and time, your IP (where compliance requires it) and the version of the banner/policy you saw. Consent records are kept for 12 months unless a longer legal retention period applies. We will ask for consent again if we make material changes to which non-essential cookies we use or why.

6. How can I control cookies?

You decide whether to accept or reject cookies.

  • Cookie settings / banner: change your preferences whenever you like by clicking the “Cookie Settings” link on our Website (or the cookie icon in the footer). This reopens the consent manager so you can change or withdraw consent.
  • Browser controls: set or adjust your browser to accept or refuse cookies. If you reject cookies, you can still use the site, though access to some features and areas may be limited.
  • Limiting most interest-based advertising: most ad networks let you opt out of targeted advertising. Common opt-out resources include the EU's YourOnlineChoices, the Network Advertising Initiative (NAI) in the US, and the Digital Advertising Alliance (DAA); Google and Meta also have ad-preference centres. Opting out does not stop all advertising, but it aims to stop advertising tailored to your interests.

To opt out of Google Analytics across sites, you can install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. For other analytics or advertising providers, see their published opt-out methods.

7. Retention of cookie data

We keep cookie identifiers and related analytics/consent information only as long as needed for the purposes in this Policy. Typical periods: session cookies last until you close your browser; persistent cookies for functionality, analytics or ad targeting usually last up to 12 months, unless a third party requires a different duration. Consent records are kept for 12 months.

8. Children

Our Website and products are intended only for people aged at least 18. We therefore do not knowingly set cookies that collect personal data from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected such data through cookies from a child under 18, we will act at once to delete it and cancel the related consent records.

9. Changes to this Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time — for example to reflect changes in the cookies we use or for other operational, legal or regulatory reasons. Please revisit it regularly to stay informed about our use of cookies and related technologies. We version both the Policy and the consent banner. Significant changes to how we use cookies will be signalled by updating the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, by asking for consent again.
